Chief Arkins began his career at White River Twp Fire Department at an early age serving in nearly every capacity within the department.  He began originally as a cadet in 1992 while still in High School and later becoming a part-time member in 1996.   In 2002 he was hired full-time as a Lieutenant. He was promoted to Captain in 2004 and in 2012, was promoted as the Chief of EMS. Casey holds a Associates degree in Fire Science from Columbia Southern University. He is a certified Fire Officer II, Instructor II/III, Hazmat Technician, Trench Rescue Technician, Collapse Rescue, as well as an Indiana Certified Paramedic. 

 

As the Staff Battalion Chief of Operations, Casey is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the department.  His primary responsibilities include staffing and deployment, SOG development and implementation, and acts as department liaison to the Indiana Department of Homeland Security and Johnson County Emergency Management.  Casey also oversees Special Operations, Apparatus Maintenance, and Quartermaster function with the department.  Send an e-mail to Casey by clicking HERE.
