A safe Independence Day holiday

       This year's 4th of July celebrations across White River Township Fire Protection District were carried out in a safe manner according to fire officials.  There were no reports to the fire department of any injuries or fires as a result of the festivities.  Part of the credit goes to the department's Fire Prevention Division which spends countless man hours in the weeks and even months prior to the holiday making sure things are as safe as they can be.  In addition to educating the public through various programs, the division also ensures that local businesses that sell fireworks are doing so in full compliance of local, state, and federal code.
